Mudgee Counselling Service & Supports Team

Attendance is aligned with client wishes, ensuring that any activities, challenges, or mini-goals are tailored to meet client preferences in the context of holistic wellness. We want you to know that you are in charge of your journey, taking one day at a time. Our team flexibly focuses on what you report your needs are, providing mental health services and psychosocial support to enhance your experience.

NDIS Services & psychosocial support co-ordinator engagement
Our psychological support services emphasize collaboration and engagement to foster holistic wellness. We work closely with medical services, educational resources, and beyond to ensure comprehensive care.
We offer housing support services, legal support services, and family & community services that focus on mental health services and planning. Additionally, we provide mental health care reviews to tailor support to individual needs.

1:1 mentoring with a specialised mentor fosters rapport, trust, and support, leading to optimal outcomes in the therapeutic process and enhancing holistic wellness. Our mental health services include psychosocial support, available through the NDIS for a minimum of 5 hours per week as needed.

Self advocacy is essential in promoting holistic wellness through tailored mental health services. We provide support to attend programs specific to individual client goals, such as an AA meeting, a grief support group, or a shark cage workshop. Our clinical team is ready to respond to crises, ensuring psychosocial support is always available. We prioritize WARP development and advocacy while adhering to a no wrong door policy, making mental health awareness accessible to all.

Weekly 1:1 sessions with your clinical counsellor are available in our clinic room by appointment, focusing on holistic wellness as part of our comprehensive mental health services. Outreach and home visits are also available where appropriate to ensure you receive the necessary psychosocial support. Additionally, you can expect on-call clinical support with a maximum 24-hour response time from your clinical counsellor upon request.

During your time with our intake team, we gather information on your strengths and any psychosocial challenges you face as part of our holistic wellness approach. This information helps us report and advise on mental health services, interventions, or support programs we believe might be beneficial to you on your path. Approximately six months into the program, we can complete a recommendation report. A clinic report, program participation report, and shared care plan will be provided to coordinators, health service teams, or other identified care team members as specified by you, the client.

Mental health safety and awareness are crucial components of holistic wellness. Understanding self-efficacy, along with insights and reflections, can enhance the effectiveness of mental health services. Techniques such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and mindfulness are essential in providing psychosocial support. Additionally, adopting a trauma and neurodivergent-informed therapeutic approach is vital. Regular mental health state assessments and data collection for review further contribute to a comprehensive understanding of individual wellness.
